I’ve been loving my time at Live Well Fitness Kogarah, as I do shift work I do have different trainers occasionally, but all have been great , a special callout to my ‘semi regular’ trainer Pat , who not only is dedicated to helping me achieve my best results , will also throw in some handy hints for snacks or dinner.The ‘one on one’ training was exactly what I needed to get me back on track after not having done anything for quite a while , can thoroughly recommend.

Toby from Live Well Health and Fitness Bondi Junction has proven to be the best investment I’ve made in improving my physical health.Every session is well planned, diverse and fun. Live Well was recommended to me by my osteo when I was looking for a gym, as i kept getting told I needed to maintain my muscle strength and combat the effects of my sedentary job. Having not been in a gym for years, I was feeling overwhelmed in terms of finding one that would suit me. Live Well is a small, really friendly gym and made me feel comfortable from the start. My trainer Jono put together a program, which evolves as we go, and offered lots of support through some early hiccups. I've made so much progress in the two months I've been going - I'm stronger, fitter and my lower back problems have eased. As an added bonus, I'm also getting much better sleep and Jono helps with nutrition and other health tips. Love my two 30 minute sessions a week - Jono and the rest of the team are fantastic and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Been with Live Well Fitness in Bondi Junction for a month now and honestly it's been awesome. From the first session Toby and the team actually sat down and figured out what I wanted to get out of training, and tailored it towards my own goals.What I really enjoy and appreciate is how much the team actually cares about what they do. You can tell every session that they genuinely want to help you reach your goals, give form cues and show you how exercises are properly done, and they pay attention to how you're tracking week to week. It's evident that they care about getting you proper results because they're invested in seeing you succeed.The atmosphere in the gym is also great! The whole team checks in on how you're going, which keeps you accountable and helps you stay in a positive mindset.It's pretty rare finding a gym where the staff actually remember what you're working towards and want to see you improve.If you're after a gym in Bondi Junction with a team that loves what they do and actually cares about your progress, can't recommend Live Well Fitness enough. I can't recommend Live Well Health & Fitness Studio highly enough. I joined a group that Niall trained in preparation for climbing Mount Kosciuszko, and the majority of us were first time climbers who were understandably nervous about the challenge ahead.Niall was incredibly patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout the training. There were times when I doubted whether I would make it, but Niall always reassured me and confidently told me that I would.Thanks to the preparation and training provided by Live Well, I was able to complete the climb alongside my mum. Even better, neither of us experienced any pain on the day of the climb or the day after, which is a testament to how well Niall prepared us physically.Thank you, Live Well Health & Fitness Studio, for making my Mount Kosciuszko experience with Autism Community Network such a breeze. The support, encouragement, and expert training gave me the confidence to achieve something I wasn't sure I could do. I am incredibly grateful.

I am a 52 year old male that has had several intense surgeries which has impacted my ability at times to maintain a healthy lifestyle, as a result I have struggled with motivation to constantly look at my physical well being and control my weight gain.I joined the program at Live Well Health and Fitness Studio with Chris guiding my new approach to healthy physical well being.Without doubt I am loving the different approach to fitness that their program targets to my age group. It's well thought out as well as in consultation with my Chiropractor to ensure I work within the constraints of what my body can achieve and avoid frustrating injuries, which in the past have led to frustration and inevitably lost motivation to continue with fitness targets.They challenge not only my thinking of what I can achieve in the gym, but also my dietary habits, avoiding the guilt trips and promoting my approach to healthy food choices and always offering support that is only a phone call away.If you're also in the age group of 45 or older and would like to get back in to a healthy lifestyle of a gym setting again, why not try Live Well. Chris and the team are awesome! They have a level of care which transcends other gyms.Others focus more on signing clients up and no follow up, particularly on self accountability.Chris and the team make sure you show up for you!Yes there’s weights and some cardio, but there is also a level of care surrounding wellbeing and mental health. They go above and beyond to provide a holistic, individualised approach to every person who walks through their doors.And - you get fitter, feel better and see movement on the scales and looser fitting clothes!Highly recommend them!

I’ve trained the traditional bodybuilding way for years. Chest day, back day, arm day. Always chasing the pump. It works, but I was starting to feel tight, a bit beat up, and not that athletic outside the gym.Training at Live Well has been different in a good way.Total body sessions. Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry. Everything has a purpose and actually progresses week to week. I feel stronger overall, not just in one lift or one body part.Biggest thing is how my body feels. Fewer niggles, better movement, and more confidence under load. It’s tough training, just smarter.If you’re stuck in split routines and want to feel strong and capable long term, this style of training just makes sense.Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Live Well in Bondi Junction for about 8 weeks and it’s been a challenging but really positive experience. My goal is to run injury free, which in my late 50s means regular strength training. I’ve never worked with a PT before, but my time with Harrison has been fantastic for the knowledge and positivity he brings to every session. I’ve seen a genuine difference in my running since committing to weekly sessions at Live Well. I’ve also been really happy with how friendly and welcoming the staff and other clients have been.

Max is an amazing Coach - PT! He is relentless in keeping me motivated. And I am tough! He has fixed my shoulder with great strengthening exercises and has improved my overall strength. Toby there is great too. It’s a terrific place to go to for a relaxed environment but very purposeful sessions to get and/or keep your body in shape. I am a student from Boston University who did a placement at LiveWell. I had an amazing experience there, they work incredibly with their patients. They work with everyone, all ages, disabilities, experience levels, or anything. All of the coaches do such a great job at curating their workouts to the person and giving them exactly what they need any and need. I highly recommend Live Well at Bondi Junction especially my trainer Monika. It caters to all ages and everyone is really friendly and welcoming. Monika’s program for me focused on lifting heavy weights to improve my bone density as I am a 64 year old women. I am so much stronger and all my little niggly aches and pains have disappeared. This inspired me to also lose some extra weight. Monika really helped giving me good advice about nutrition and brands that have helped me along the way. I cannot recommend this place any more!! I am not a gym person and exercise is not my favourite thing to do. But this is changing with the encouragement, patience and support of Chris from Live Well Health and Fitness. Living with Parkinson's Disease is challenging however Chris has shown me that with increased strength and balance and having and achieving goals, I can live a great life and have increased confidence in moving around. And still do the crazy things I want to do in everyday life and on holidays. Yes - you do have to put up with him laughing at every poor joke and one liner that you deliver - but he is part of my tribe. A tribe that everyone needs to live well despite life's challenges.

I was in the middle of preparation for a major physical challenge & hike of a lifetime and while I was motivated and resilient I didn’t want to make any assumptions regarding the training program needed for such a goal. It was just by chance that I’ve noticed a “Live Well Health & Fitness Studio” add on Instagram which caught my attention. I went to see the place and met Chris for the initial consultation. Chris was able to reassure me that he will design the training program around my needs. I was assigned to work with wonderful Niall and Kayla. Over the next 10 weeks I very much enjoyed our training sessions as they made it fun and enjoyable. They've been so motivating and encouraging, especially when I hit a plateau. I'm 63 and had never been to a gym before in my life so I had no idea what to expect. I've been training with Monica twice a week for over a month now and it's been excellent. The gym is small with not too many people at a time so it feels comfortable and not at all intimidating. My husband and I have been training with Niall at Live Well for close to 4 months now, and in all honesty, I've been a little reluctant to write a review for the simple reason that we can't bear to lose him to other trainees! 😂 So here's hoping this review doesn't result in him becoming TOO in demand.🤞🏼😉From the moment we enquired with Live Well, we couldn’t be more impressed with the experience.From day one, Niall has been incredibly supportive, creating a fitness plan that fits both of our specific goals and challenges, always ensuring to check in with us on our mental health & ongoing injury recovery.His knowledge and dedication to helping us improve has made a real difference, and in under 4 months, both my husband and I can already see the effects (both physically & mentally).What stands out most is how Niall’s approach is both challenging and encouraging. He's always adapting our sessions & weights to ensure we're getting the most out of every workout, while also being mindful of our body’s needs & limitations.It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his trainees and we always look forward to our sessions (even when an assault bike is involved, which says a lot 😂)!The gym itself is always welcoming, clean, and well-equipped, which makes every visit enjoyable. This is the first gym I've gone to that has kept me accountable to my health goals and that I actually enjoy going to. I started going to the Small Group PT sessions around 6 months ago due to a bulge in lower vertebrae and needing to improve my overall strength. Pat was able to assess the problem and my mobility with a 1-on-1 PT session and set me up with a training program that has dramatically improved my back pain (and overall strength). The community at the gym is wonderful and all the trainers are great people to work with. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere in this small, personable gym. This is a judgement free zone where all the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. It has a Cheers vibe to it, where everybody knows your name (TV reference for the over 50s). Even fellow clients are encouraging.The trainers will push you but never to an impossible level and you will achieve improvements week to week. Just when you think you have mastered the program. it changes. I know that’s a good thing but some days, I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad about that.I used to go to a big gym but only did group classes because weight rooms were intimidating. It’s nice to go to a place where there is none of that.I’m not a person that loves exercise but appreciate the physical and mental benefits so thanks Elia, Max, Toby and Matt for creating a fun environment and keeping me motivated.

I was referred to live well by Kenny my physio after breaking my elbow I had lost muscle in my arm and had little range and lots of pain . At first I found it difficult but as weeks went by it got easier and easier I now have almost full range back and realize as I am 74 years old it it is helping with my bone density . Over the past weeks I have grown close to Toby Max and the guys Max and I invented a game to make time pass joyfully we each had to describe a flag. Im a competitive squash player and toby has tailor made a program to help support my squash. I love the space and the equipment they use (intelligent and seamless to use). I’d had enough of the big gyms where I was just a number. I wasn’t being shown how to lift weights correctly. Not anymore, I found Live Well Fitness. A small gym with highly trained staff. My trainer Toby gives me loads of variety in my twice weekly training sessions.I joined Live Well Fitness to gain increased strength and energy levels which I continue to achieve. I’ve been attending the Living Well gym at Bondi Junction for a few months now and can honestly say I have nothing but praise for Matt and the team of instructors. I never thought I’d one day find myself admitting I enjoyed being a signed up member of any gym. However, the attention and personal touch on the part of the training staff, coupled with their obvious experience and professionalism as well as all the requisite easy to use state-of-the- art equipment make for an outstanding experience, again and again.I joined the one hour Tuesday class that focuses specifically on supporting mobility and core strength for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers. It’s as of yet a small group but I have found it to be a welcoming environment for fellow PD veterans to get together and work out under the expert supervision of the sensitive, encouraging staff. I thoroughly recommend you come along to this class if you have Parkinson’s and have been looking for a superbly structured exercise class in the heart of Bondi Junction.

Q: How did I discover Bondi Junction LiveWell Boutique Gym?A: I was scrolling through Facebook and I came across Matt's promotional video.Q: What was it about the video that sparked your interest?A: Matt's (and Live Well's ) message about the importance of fitness, wellness, flexibility and maintaining physical strength for anyone over their 50s+ age-range, struck a chord and made a lot of sense. Also, I had in the past, joined a gym ( Fitness First, Spring St, Sydney), however, I didn't understand that the reason for joining a gym ( having a personal trainer), just " to get fit, " in the end, wasn't enough. What I didn't understand then, but understand now, was, that (all) gymnasiums are set up for:1. Those who already are involved in some organised sport & probably have had a trainer organise a weight programme for improving strength etc.2. Because of their sport, they have worked out their own suitable weight-training programme,3.Or, they already have a specific, organised routine, to achieve particular clearly defined aims.Most gyms only promote the idea of " go to a gym & get fit, " they don't highlight what a person really needs to know.Q: Why Live Well and not other gyms?A: We need motivation and to be motivated. Only a very tiny minority of people can continually motivate themselves. We also need outside motivation & encouragement. This is where Live Well comes in, giving you constructive positive reinforcement: Your trainer guides you through each movement. If you have any difficulty or if you find, for some reason, you can't perform a particular set, they can always find some other set, to achieve results. You can ask your trainer; why you are doing this exercise & its purpose; they'll happily explain.Q: What's so special about Live Well?Well, all their training programmes are based on movements: lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing and any other physical exercises, we as children indulged in. Live Well Health & Fitness studio is a fantastic place to get your fitness groove on right in the hub of Bondi Junction. The beautiful space is ultra-modern and features top-notch equipment and amenities to support any and all of your fitness goals. Right from when you walk in, you are immersed in an extremely welcoming environment free from judgement.Matt, the Director, always keeps the clients’ best interests at heart. I’ve never felt pressured to extend my contract and the highly personalised programs keep me free from injury. Not “money driven” but rather client focused, the team at Live Well are highly proficient, friendly and creative. No work out is ever the same.I cannot say enough about my own personal trainer Shirin. I'm completely new to weights and Shirin has guided me in a professional and easy-to-follow manner. Her knowledge of fitness is impressive and is communicated in a clear way. Further, Shirin’s approach is all-encompassing rather than just being contained to our 30 minute sessions. She gives me advice to support me daily in achieving an overall healthy lifestyle, which I am confidently attaining thanks to her invaluable role in my health and fitness journey.I highly recommend Live Well to anyone and everyone regardless of fitness level.

I love training with Toby at Live Well. As someone who gets quite intimidated in big gyms, I feel so comfortable at Live Well knowing there will only ever be a handful of people in there at one time - it pretty much feels like a private gym experience!

Livewell is a great boutique style, well equipped studio gym which offers a number of programs including OsteoFit and Parkincise, a group program for those with Parkinson's Disease. Matt, Niall and Chris who, at different times, run the Parkincise program have a good understanding and knowledge of the effect of Parkinson's on group participants, resulting in a tailored program of exercises focusing on strength, co-ordination, balance and flexibility. They take a genuine interest in the participants, showing patience and understanding, good humour, individual assistance and above all, a wonderful service for those who need to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's. I highly recommend LiveWell, particularly for those with chronic disease.

I started training with Pat last year and it's probably been the best gym experience I've had. Everyone is really friendly and supportive, and the atmosphere in the gym is one of positivity. I've definitely never feel overwhelmed or intimidated, and that is one of the main reasons I keep going.The other reason is Pat. We have a great rapport, and he's very easy going but still able to push me to do better! He's put together a great plan for me, and every exercise is there for a reason.......even the split squats.......I hate split squats!

A friend recommended Live Well H&F and I thought he was exaggerating his experience. Actually he was quite modest: after 10 months of training I feel more fit and strong than 10 years ago!With support from my trainer, Niall, I’ve not skipped a session even through all the Covid closures and isolation, he would always find a place for me to train. His dedication, professionalism, personalised training plans and care made all the difference.

Joining Livewell was the best thing I did.I had tried several other gyms over the years and was never able to get the results I achieved with Livewell.The team are all amazing, especially our coach Niall who is just awesome.Look forward to the Super Saturday ’ workouts as they are lots of fun as we get to workout in a group environment and have a few laughs.

I had never been to a gym before and at 56 I thought it was about time to lose some weight and get healthier.I have been a member for just over a year now and am very thankful to the trainers, they are all friendly and interested in getting you to your goals as fast as you want to get there and encourage you to push yourself to achieve your goals.I have a couple of injuries and the trainers go out of their way to find workarounds to make sure you can still keep training without aggravating any injury or pre existing condition (arthritis)I am very happy to recommend LiveWell to anyone of any age to get moving and get stronger

What can I say. This is not a gym in the traditional sense, it’s a community that we all go to get fit, physically and mentally. If you have a bad week or you tweak a muscle or hammie then the team will modify / adapt the routine to compensate. The trainer are always ready to help and suggest a different way of achieving your goal.This is not a gym for the solo star, rather it’s the place you go for team work and to give and receive support.

I started with Pat at Live Well late last year and am so glad I did! The team are super friendly, welcoming and judgement-free! Pat takes the time to explain why he has me doing particular exercises and shows his wealth of knowledge about the body in every session. He sends regular messages of encouragement during the week and is flexible when I need to make changes to my schedule due to work/life commitments. I'm sure I would've given up (as I have in the past) without his cheerful support! Definitely worth the investment!

1 on 1 training with a strong emphasis on COVID safety. Has all the benefits of larger gyms but it just feels like friends helping you reach your goals. Would recommend these guys if you’re looking for a tailored approach on your journey to better health.

I am into my 8th Year at Live Well Health & Fitness Studio Kogarah still going strong as the 1st day I walked thru the doors in 2013. I continue yob maintain my weight & just enjoying being a part of the Live Well community. I have conquered several feats over the years and am quite pleased with myself. I first started with Live Well when I lived South. I took up one of Matt's exceptional offers to join a small team. My aim was to lose weight and get fit. I achieved both and won the challenge. A few years later I moved North. I struggled to find a gym that had the same ambience and personality. The team at Live Well treat everyone as though they are special and cared about. So I decided that I had to drive over the bridge and rejoin. There is nothing that I have found on the North Shore to equal Live Well.

I first stumbled across Live Well about 4 years ago, doing a six week challenge. For various reasons the timing wasn’t right to carry on just then, BUT I always did loved their core values and their formula and 18 months later I returned and have not looked back! The trainers are great and the community greater, truly a second family. If you are looking for a boutique gym that ticks all the boxes and where everyone knows your name, look no further. I have struggled to find a gym that suited me for years. After searching I found Live Well and wanted to work with a team that would help me distress from a busy schedule and keep fit at the same time as I wanted to stay away from previous medical challenges. Live Well Kogarah is a safe, comfortable and motivating fitness studio! All of the coaches are knowledgeable, skilled and very approachable. I have never felt so happy and motivated to go workout at 6am or 8pm!The boutique style of the studio and likeminded coaches set it apart from larger gyms or franchises - at Live Well you are not a number, everything is catered towards the person you are and the goals you want to achieve. I began attending 2 weeks after a knee reconstruction and my coach, Niall, catered all aspects of my training towards gaining mobility and strength back. We were safely doing dead lifts and leg presses 4 weeks post op! Also, the music choices are outstanding!

Life Well Fitness isn’t just a gym. They’re like a tight knit family of professionals who help you feel comfortable while getting fit. My trainer in particular, Allan , always took care to make sure I was doing the right movements and exercises so as to not hurt myself, and he was just great in general. I first joined the Live Well community for a 6 week challenge to give myself a kick start to get motivated to start training as over the years I had all the gear but not the motivation to use it. Well that was over 4 years ago now and I never did use my own gear again and now am a regular at Live Well. Despite many years of trying on my own I would not have achieved anything without the motivation, encouragement and guidance from the Team at Live Well. I have never been fitter, healthier or happier than I am now. This is no ordinary Gym where you get a "canned " fitness plan. After you are clear and communicate what it is you want to achieve, the Live Well Team will taylor a complete programme to suit your fitness level and lifestyle including a complete meal plan. All the trainer's greet you by name as they all take the time to know you and make you feel welcome. Most of the members also know each other so for most us it's our home away from home. Live Well Health & Fitness, very highly recommended.

I have been a member of the LW commuity for a couple of years now following feeling stagnant with my training I stumbled upon this gem. I'd never had a PT before so this was a whole new world of training. I was assigned to Chris (poor guy) and he helped me set some achievable goals both short term and long term. I built the confidence to participate in a Spartan challenge (if you know me I hate getting dirty) so this was a huge achievement for me. Better still my long term goal of pullups is increasing as the time goes on. I love the place so much my boys have become members for the past year participating in the kids PT sessions. Nothing but praise and well wishes from me for Matt and his amazing team! xx

Hands down the best gym I have been to. The trainers know what they are doing and are genuinely there to support you. My trainer Chris has truely changed my life, I have been to many other gyms where all they are interested in is signing you up and taking your money. I've been a member of Live Well since it first opened. I cannot talk highly enough of this family studio. It's run professionally by Matthew, who is passionate about helping others, not just with their physical condition, but more than that. They always have the clients best interest at the forefront of everything they do. All the trainers who work there are fantastic! They make you feel part of the family, which you don't get in larger gym setups. The other members, feel like family too. I'd recommend Live Well to anyone looking for a personalised service. The one on one coaching, and group coaching sessions are amazing for those who need to stay committed with their fitness goals.

Joining LiveWell Fitness is more than joining a gym. For many years now I have been attending Live Well gym. I love the fact that it’s not a super huge gym chain where you get lost and forgotten. As opposed to this smaller boutique gym where everybody knows your name. The service that is given is of paramount importance to owner Matthew and his team of highly trained and skilled staff. Matt gave me the full program and as a result I was able to lose 20 kilos and keep it off years. I am pleased with my results BIG TIME! Do yourself a favour and go and see Matt and his team. I've been attending personal training at Live Well's Kogarah studio since 2011. On top of two personal training sessions per week, I attend occasional classes and get help and advice with my running schedule. I completed my first full Marathon in 2019, a dozen or so Half Marathons over the years and look forward to City to Surf and many other events with the running crew each year. I cannot recommend Matt and his gang of professional trainers more highly. Do yourself a favour!
