Live Well Health & Fitness Studio - Bondi Junction has been a great introduction to one on one personal training, for me.The studio is a good sized space and never feels crowded. This is a fantastic place to get high-quality coaching in weight training. The atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable, with top-notch equipment and wonderful high ceilings. Best experience I've had with personal trainers. Pat's programs are challenging but enjoyable, I always feel like I am making progress, but I can still walk the next day. The staff are lovely, great atmosphere and equipment. I would definitely recommend any of the trainers at Live Well Fitness Kogarah.

Nice atmosphere in this small, personable gym. This is a judgement free zone where all the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. It has a Cheers vibe to it, where everybody knows your name (TV reference for the over 50s). Even fellow clients are encouraging.The trainers will push you but never to an impossible level and you will achieve improvements week to week. Just when you think you have mastered the program. it changes. I know that’s a good thing but some days, I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad about that.I used to go to a big gym but only did group classes because weight rooms were intimidating. It’s nice to go to a place where there is none of that.I’m not a person that loves exercise but appreciate the physical and mental benefits so thanks Elia, Max, Toby and Matt for creating a fun environment and keeping me motivated.

Toby is a fantastic trainer with great sense of humor so every session is filled with laughter and a positive attitude so the time passes quickly without you even realising that you are getting a great workout.Together with the other trainers, Toby creates a very friendly environment where you instantly feel comfortable with lots of banter between all those present.Having not done any serious gym training ever and being over 50, the attention and personal approach has been amazing and I feel great and I’m stronger than I have ever been.I highly recommend Toby and the Live Well crew. I have been training with Toby at Live Well Bondi Junction for almost one year now, the gym was recommended to me by my Physio who I think was sick of seeing me so regularly for the same back issues time after time.From regular visits to the Physio to not going back even once since joining the gym is a testament to how good these guys (and in particular Toby) are.In addition to general health and fitness, being given a tailored work out to focus on strengthening my back has been a godsend.Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for one on one training with highly skilled PT’s that will work with you to achieve your goals.

I was referred to live well by Kenny my physio after breaking my elbow I had lost muscle in my arm and had little range and lots of pain . At first I found it difficult but as weeks went by it got easier and easier I now have almost full range back and realize as I am 74 years old it it is helping with my bone density . Over the past weeks I have grown close to Toby Max and the guys Max and I invented a game to make time pass joyfully we each had to describe a flag. Of a country put forward from each other Max always won .i enjoy my classes i like the personalized treatment and I feel I’m getting good results .

Fantastic personal training gym. I started training with toby in december and 3 months on i feel so much stronger. Im a competitive squash player and toby has tailor made a program to help support my squash. I love the space and the equipment they use (intelligent and seamless to use). I also love how simple he has made it for me so i dont have to think. I highly recommend these guys especially if you are serious about your training.

The staff here are amazing. I’d had enough of the big gyms where I was just a number. I wasn’t being shown how to lift weights correctly. Not anymore, I found Live Well Fitness. A small gym with highly trained staff. My trainer Toby gives me loads of variety in my twice weekly training sessions.I joined Live Well Fitness to gain increased strength and energy levels which I continue to achieve. It is important that I be able to comfortably carry my grandchildren as they gain weight.I recommend Live Well Fitness to all age groups, especially to seniors. Don’t be intimidated by your age. Finally getting around to this review. Which goes to show that this gym and the trainers there leave a lasting impact in the most positive way. To cut a long story short, I trained at this gym with my parents for YEARS and before that I really thought that it wasn’t for me. Chris changed my mind and changed my life, with his endless patience and knowledge.You could be the most shy or the most charismatic, but you will be able to find a community that just might be your life line like it was for me. There are no egos, just the opportunity to move your body and have a laugh.

I’ve been attending the Living Well gym at Bondi Junction for a few months now and can honestly say I have nothing but praise for Matt and the team of instructors. I never thought I’d one day find myself admitting I enjoyed being a signed up member of any gym. However, the attention and personal touch on the part of the training staff, coupled with their obvious experience and professionalism as well as all the requisite easy to use state-of-the- art equipment make for an outstanding experience, again and again.I joined the one hour Tuesday class that focuses specifically on supporting mobility and core strength for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers. It’s as of yet a small group but I have found it to be a welcoming environment for fellow PD veterans to get together and work out under the expert supervision of the sensitive, encouraging staff. I thoroughly recommend you come along to this class if you have Parkinson’s and have been looking for a superbly structured exercise class in the heart of Bondi Junction.

Q: How did I discover Bondi Junction LiveWell Boutique Gym?A: I was scrolling through Facebook and I came across Matt's promotional video.Q: What was it about the video that sparked your interest?A: Matt's (and Live Well's ) message about the importance of fitness, wellness, flexibility and maintaining physical strength for anyone over their 50s+ age-range, struck a chord and made a lot of sense. Also, I had in the past, joined a gym ( Fitness First, Spring St, Sydney), however, I didn't understand that the reason for joining a gym ( having a personal trainer), just " to get fit, " in the end, wasn't enough. What I didn't understand then, but understand now, was, that (all) gymnasiums are set up for:1. Those who already are involved in some organised sport & probably have had a trainer organise a weight programme for improving strength etc.2. Because of their sport, they have worked out their own suitable weight-training programme,3.Or, they already have a specific, organised routine, to achieve particular clearly defined aims.Most gyms only promote the idea of " go to a gym & get fit, " they don't highlight what a person really needs to know.Q: Why Live Well and not other gyms?A: We need motivation and to be motivated. Only a very tiny minority of people can continually motivate themselves. We also need outside motivation & encouragement. This is where Live Well comes in, giving you constructive positive reinforcement: Your trainer guides you through each movement. If you have any difficulty or if you find, for some reason, you can't perform a particular set, they can always find some other set, to achieve results. You can ask your trainer; why you are doing this exercise & its purpose; they'll happily explain.Q: What's so special about Live Well?Well, all their training programmes are based on movements: lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing and any other physical exercises, we as children indulged in. But also with weights. I do two half-hour programmes a week: each time I complete my training session, I feel I've run round the oval & run up & down stairs, more than once. The exercises aerobic, designed to progressively build up strength, flexibility and always leave you feeling you have achieved a great deal each session.

Following surgery I wanted to build my strength and regain health confidence. That’s what I got when I started training at LiveWell with Toby. No work out is ever the same.I cannot say enough about my own personal trainer Shirin. I'm completely new to weights and Shirin has guided me in a professional and easy-to-follow manner. Livewell is a great boutique style, well equipped studio gym which offers a number of programs including OsteoFit and Parkincise, a group program for those with Parkinson's Disease. Matt, Niall and Chris who, at different times, run the Parkincise program have a good understanding and knowledge of the effect of Parkinson's on group participants, resulting in a tailored program of exercises focusing on strength, co-ordination, balance and flexibility. They take a genuine interest in the participants, showing patience and understanding, good humour, individual assistance and above all, a wonderful service for those who need to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's. I highly recommend LiveWell, particularly for those with chronic disease.

I started training with Pat last year and it's probably been the best gym experience I've had. Everyone is really friendly and supportive, and the atmosphere in the gym is one of positivity. What can I say. This is not a gym in the traditional sense, it’s a community that we all go to get fit, physically and mentally. If you have a bad week or you tweak a muscle or hammie then the team will modify / adapt the routine to compensate. The trainer are always ready to help and suggest a different way of achieving your goal.This is not a gym for the solo star, rather it’s the place you go for team work and to give and receive support.

I started with Pat at Live Well late last year and am so glad I did! The team are super friendly, welcoming and judgement-free! Pat takes the time to explain why he has me doing particular exercises and shows his wealth of knowledge about the body in every session. I first started with Live Well when I lived South. I took up one of Matt's exceptional offers to join a small team. My aim was to lose weight and get fit. I achieved both and won the challenge. A few years later I moved North. I struggled to find a gym that had the same ambience and personality. The team at Live Well treat everyone as though they are special and cared about. So I decided that I had to drive over the bridge and rejoin. There is nothing that I have found on the North Shore to equal Live Well.

Live Well Kogarah is a safe, comfortable and motivating fitness studio! All of the coaches are knowledgeable, skilled and very approachable. I have never felt so happy and motivated to go workout at 6am or 8pm!The boutique style of the studio and likeminded coaches set it apart from larger gyms or franchises - at Live Well you are not a number, everything is catered towards the person you are and the goals you want to achieve. I began attending 2 weeks after a knee reconstruction and my coach, Niall, catered all aspects of my training towards gaining mobility and strength back. Well that was over 4 years ago now and I never did use my own gear again and now am a regular at Live Well. Despite many years of trying on my own I would not have achieved anything without the motivation, encouragement and guidance from the Team at Live Well. I have never been fitter, healthier or happier than I am now. This is no ordinary Gym where you get a "canned " fitness plan. After you are clear and communicate what it is you want to achieve, the Live Well Team will taylor a complete programme to suit your fitness level and lifestyle including a complete meal plan. All the trainer's greet you by name as they all take the time to know you and make you feel welcome. Most of the members also know each other so for most us it's our home away from home. I have been a member of the LW commuity for a couple of years now following feeling stagnant with my training I stumbled upon this gem. I'd never had a PT before so this was a whole new world of training. I was assigned to Chris (poor guy) and he helped me set some achievable goals both short term and long term. I built the confidence to participate in a Spartan challenge (if you know me I hate getting dirty) so this was a huge achievement for me. 7 months ago and after over a year of being inactive, living a sedentary lifestyle, feeling tiredness, sore joints, overweight and with a low self-esteem I made a decision to join live well health & fitness studio and with their help flip over to those bad habits into a motivated, happy, and healthy lifestyle. Thanks to the trainers team I have lost 10 kilos, they have been always very suportive, caring, and empower me to mantein my motivation up high. I highly recomend the studio to those who are actually determined to make a change in their lifes.

Seven years ago I stumbled across Livewell while out for a walk with my dogs. Since then I have achieved many things, More City2Surfs than I ever imagined, ( let's face it I did not even think of doing one), Mud Run's, Spartan Events, 200Km Bike rides, Sydney to the Gong the list just goes on). Livewell is a community; the greatest asset is the people that attend the gym who provide support, encouragement and more often than not a sense of fun and humor. Add to this the constant and professional support the trainers provide, and you have an overall fitness and lifestyle solution that is above any other gym I have attended.

Great equipment to use, wide array of weights and instructors to choose from too!Made a mistake while pumping dat iron? No worries! You can drop the weights on the padded floor without being removed by the extremely bulky instructors.Can't turn up to run that 10km on the treadmill? No problem! Flexible sessions is another great part of this gym.Great price for an amazing personal instructor session!PS. Simon is a pretty cool dood

Live Well has Changed my Life, yes you have good days and bad days, but the motivation, expertise and Professional trainers, LISTEN, UNDERSTAND, and build a program for YOU to achieve your goals. I'm two months into my Personal Goal of losing 15kg. So close I can taste it... The Gym is friendly, your almost part of a family, people say hello, know you by name. Unlike some other Gums out there your a no.. It's true this is a life change, not a quick fix, I'm on the road to building and living a healthy life. My Trainer is motivational and dedicated to reaching my goal. Thank you Simon for all your help thus far, Matt, James who got me started. The Live Well gym is a great boutique gym with a relaxed environment allowing you to train at your own pace. The trainers at Live Well are enthusiastic, experienced and very helpful. They make sure that your training program is at a level that allows you to enjoy your training, but also achieve results. The Live Well trainers have provided me with invaluable guidance on my diet making sure that all my hard training counts. The holistic approach to health and well-being that Live Well provides ensures I achieve the goals I have set myself.

Absolutely fantastic gym, in convenient location. Most of the equipment is completely brand new and none of the other gyms in the area are nearly as spacious and varied in the fitness programs they offer. I'I'm in love with the staff as well. They are all so friendly, qualified coaches and enthusiastic; it makes going to the gym so much better! I highly recommend this gym.

Live Well have been part of my life for over 4 years. What started as a get fit effort to undertake the city 2 surf now has me running marathons and setting a PB for the city 2 surf every year I run. The service is excellent, totally personal and the training programs are all personally crafted taking into account any minor injuries, my work commitments, and goals. We joke in the running class that the trainers get inside our minds, and yet every time I am struggling up a hill, and feeling I need to slow down those voices in my head convince me otherwise! You can't ask for more than that .... and I would heartily endorse Live Well for anybody with a fitness goal.

I have been a member of Live Well Health & Fitness Studio since its conception. It is not just a gym, it has become my family for the past 8 years. It is a community where both the trainer and other Live Well members encourage each other to be more confident with themselves and their fitness.The range of classes, tailored programs and equipment is excellent. My trainer Nicola, has enabled me to run the City 2 Surf and other fun runs for the past 3 years in a row easily, a feat I never thought I would be able to achieve.I am a better person because of Live Well and because of them I now do live well.
